Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) Innovation & Entrepreneurship (I&E) programming focuses on preparing bright and talented students to become future entrepreneurs and intrapreneurs. Open to all students at HBCUs and member-school PBIs, I&E provides opportunities for students to expand their networks and get feedback on their entrepreneurial career goals and aspirations through programs and initiatives that complement their classroom learning.

Molson Coors Innovation Challenge 2024

Thurgood Marshall College Fund's Innovation & Entrepreneurship program is excited to rev up again for the Molson Coors 2024 Innovation Challenge! Now in its second year, this innovation challenge is made possible by sponsorship from the Molson Coors Beverage Company. We encourage all HBCU and TMCF member school PBIs who are curious, innovative, and determined to apply to this innovation challenge. Preference will be given to applicants who express a keen interest in developing a career within an international brewing beverage company.

2024 Truist Innovation Challenge

Charlotte, North Carolina

The Thurgood Marshall College Fund’s (TMCF) Innovation and Entrepreneurship (I&E) program has teamed up with Truist to develop the 2024 Truist Innovation Challenge. The Truist Innovation Challenge is a 4-day business pitch competition where students will come together to tackle real world challenges in the financial services industry and present their innovative solutions to a panel of expert judges. Students from Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) will be selected to participate in the pitch competition and placed on cross functional teams. Students will gain experience in Venture Ideation, Business Model Canvas, Pitching, and Intra and Entrepreneurship. Participants will also engage with executives, business leaders, and HBCU alumni at Truist.

Program Dates: Aug 4th- 8th, 2024

Application Deadline: June 9, 2024 at 11:59 PM EST

Chevron Energy Innovation Summit

Houston, TX

The Thurgood Marshall College Fund’s (TMCF) Innovation and Entrepreneurship (I&E) programming in partnership with Chevron Corporation is pleased to announce the fourth annual Chevron Energy Innovation Summit!  This exciting event is a  three-and-a-half-day case competition covering design-thinking, business modeling and pitch instruction. Chevron Technology Ventures will host panel sessions focused on careers and innovation in energy. Winners will receive scholarship awards and all participants will have the opportunity to meet with Chevron executives and senior leaders. This year, a feature of onsite interviewing has been added.  In the past, we have offered one full-time position and three internship offers to summit participants.
 
This program is now accepting applications from full time students attending Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and Predominantly Black Institutions (PBIs) who are innovative and entrepreneurial-minded.
